1. Three positions for the weapon should be holstered (benched), low-ready, and high-ready.
2. Be certain of your target and the backstop beyond.
3. Keep your finger out of the trigger guard until your sights are on the target.
4. Never point a weapon at anything you are not willing to destroy.
